Winter Tango München 2020 – Hubertussaal, Schloss Nymphenburg
Solo Tango Orquesta is formed of magnificent Moscow musicians who have devoted many years of their lives to tango music. They play with a perfect sense of style, powerful energy and with an outstandingly high quality of performance. Their repertoire spans from complex tangos for concerts to Golden Age tangos performed live at milongas.
Since 2011 Christoph has been dj-ing mainly in Munich, southern Germany and Austria. His choice of music is based on the dancer, that's why he only plays pieces that he would like to dance himself. He prefers recordings that convey a clear rhythm and emotional intensity. The music should "swing" and just go into the legs – dancing without thoughts.
Tiziano lives in Basel, where he often dances and puts on the music. He puts mainly classical Tango music from the Golden Age between 1930 and 1950 with only a few trips to the end of the 20s or the late 50s. "I only play music that I like to dance to myself. For me it cannot work otherwise."
A musicalizadora with elegance, emotion and energy, her music selection is passionate and is well known and loved by dancers all over Europe. Céline aims to maintain the energy on the dancefloor while nurturing the emotions of the dancers with a nuanced selection.
Melina has been dj-ing – and greatly enjoying it – since 2004. She has worked at countless encuentros, festivals and milongas all over Europe and the USA. Her top priorities are uncompromising danceability as well as a choice of music that systematically varies rhythmic and lyrical tandas and spices the mixture with a little bit of drama, whilst presenting classical music from the late 20s to the 50s in tandas and with cortinas.
When two experienced musicalizadoras share the decks, the result is something special. Céline and Melina bring complementary voices to the floor: Céline's elegance and emotional depth weaving seamlessly with Melina's rhythmic precision and uncompromising danceability. Taking turns tanda by tanda, they listen to each other and to the dancers, building an evening that feels both effortless and alive – a musical conversation that carries the last night of the festival to its natural close.
